Presentation

The team at ENAP's L'Observatoire de l'administration publique and the members of the Groupe de recherche comparative sur l'État québécois (GRECQ) are delighted to present Canadian Governments Compared, an online publication dedicated exclusively to the interprovincial comparison of public administrations.

In continuation of research published since 2006 on the French-language Website known as L'État québécois en perspective, the publication entitled Canadian Governments Compared proposes updated data and analyses with which to grasp the differences and similarities of provincial governments in terms of organization, size and public management practices. Its ultimate objective is to document phenomena of convergence and divergence between provincial governments and to inquire into the main characteristics distinguishing the Canadian model of public administration.

The creation of this site was made possible thanks to the contribution of the Government of Quebec's Secrétariat aux affaires intergouvernementales canadiennes through its research support program.
